Robin Padilla jumps to no. 1 in senatorial ‘Magic 12’

Actor Robin Padilla remained on top of the “Magic 12” for senatorial candidates with 23.51 million votes based on partial and unofficial tally of the data from the transparency server of the Commission on Elections.

He was followed by former senator and Antique Rep. Loren Legarda with 21.77 million and broadcaster Raffy Tulfo with 21.01 million.
Padilla is a vocal supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte. He served as chairman of a committee within the Philippine Army Multi-Sectoral Advisory Board prior.

Legarda, on the other hand, is a veteran lawmaker. She was a three-term senator before joining the House of Representatives.
Tulfo is a known broadcaster and his channel on the YouTube platform reportedly has millions of subscribers.
The “Magic 12” remains unchanged, as of the latest tally.

Following the top three are Sen. Win Gatchalian (18.54 million), Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero (18.3 million), former Public Works Secretary Mark Villar (17.36 million), Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano (17.29 million), Sen. Migz Zubiri (16.77 million), Sen. Joel Villanueva (16.70 million), former Senator JV Ejercito (14.22 million), Sen. Risa Hontiveros (13.97 million), and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada (13.47 million).

At the 13th and 14th spots are former Vice President Jejomar Binay with 11.93 million and former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista with 11.7 million.
