Five (5) persons were killed and eleven (11) others were wounded in a road accident in Kawit, Cavite on Wednesday morning.
The victims were all on board a jeepney when the vehicle hit an electric post at about 6 am.
The incident happened along Centennial Highway in Kawit.
The jeepney came from Zapote and was on its way to Tanza.
The driver was among those injured who were brought to a hospital.
Police in Kawit described the mishap as a "self accident" since no other vehicles and motorists were involved.
