The wake for Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. and his family members who were killed during an anti-drug raid last Sunday is ongoing in a covered court.
This is in Barangay San Roque Lawis near their homes where the raids were conducted.
The wake will go on for nine days.
Some residents, students and relatives of the Parojinogs are paying their last respects to the late mayor.
The Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) is conducting its investigation into the raid that killed 15 persons.
PNP-IAS Inspector General Alfegar Triambulo has ordered IAS Region 10 (Northern Mindanao) Director Gerry Galvan to form a panel that will hold the probe.
Triambulo says, it is automatic for the police to conduct an inquiry into operations that resulted in the deaths of people.
