CEBU CITY—President-elect Rodrigo Duterte will grant no media interviews even as he is slated to grace the “One Love, One Nation” thanksgiving concert for him to be held at the Sugbo grounds in the South Road Properties today.

This was confirmed by Doris Mongaya, media coordinator of #Call4Change, even if the event which 80,000 people are expected to attend, would be open to the media.

She said Duterte will arrive to personally thank Cebu for delivering 1,022,805 votes to his candidacy.

Duterte received 726,559 votes in Cebu province and 296,246 votes in Cebu City to post a half-a-million vote edge against Liberal Party presidential candidate Mar Roxas.

At the same time, Mongaya said their group #Call4Change will launch its Cebu Alliance for Change with the signing of a commitment among parallel groups that will monitor the pro-people agenda earlier promised to be implemented under Duterte’s administration.

#Call4Change is the biggest faction among Duterte supporters in Cebu. The group also opposes the appointment of Cebuano businessman Michael Lloyd Dino as presidential assistant for the Visayas, citing conflict of interest.
