Roland Sherwin Uy, 45, son of Cagayan de Oro 1st District Representative Rolando Klarex Uy was gunned down and killed on Thursday afternoon in Barangay Pagatpat, Cagayan de Oro City.
The younger Uy’s caretaker, Samuel Pabalan, 73, was also killed, authorities at the scene of the shooting said.
Authorities said upon receiving a tip, they rushed to Barangay Pagatpat and found the bodies lying in the ground.
The police report further said both Uy and Tabalan had bullet wounds in the eye.
A witness, Rubie Alayuay, who is the younger Uy’s driver, said he was inside a comfort room when the shooting occurred. He said he overheard the suspects and the victim talking about buying sand and gravel, before the suspects shot the victims.
Alayuay said the suspects managed to escape on motorcycles.
