The Caloocan City Government opened the University of Caloocan City Edsa campus and Caloocan City North Medical Center yesterday for UCC students and faculty members who want to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

About 500 slots are allocated at the UCC-Edsa campus for students and faculty members in South Caloocan while 300 slots at the CCNMC for the Camarin and Congress campuses in North Caloocan.

Vaccination aims to ensure that all university staff, faculty, and students aged 18 years and older are provided with protection against the virus.

According to Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan, this is also part of the preparation when the time comes to allow face-to-face classes in the college.

According to the data from the City Health Department, as of Sept 6, 1,292,762 vaccines have been injected in Caloocan; 800,544 of them are for the first dose while 492,218 are for the second dose.
