The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is closely coordinating with other government agencies in connection with the planned elevated bus ramp project along EDSA.
MMDA chairman Benjamin Abalos Jr. said the Department of Public Works and Highways’ design of elevated bus ramp will be unveiled soon, after which the procurement bidding process will start.
“The DPWH is already working on the design of the elevated ramp. As provided for by the law, it will undergo the process of procurement bidding,” he said.
Abalos said the Department of Transportation and the Quezon City local government will provide additional budget for the project’s construction. Joel E. Zurbano
The Quezon City government already donated P100 million to MMDA for the planned elevated bus ramps.
The MMDA chief said no U-turn slot will be blocked in Quezon City and Caloocan City for the EDSA Busway Project pending the construction of the elevated bus ramps.
