The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority is upbeat about completing 35 construction, rehabilitation, and development projects this year, Chief Operating Officer Mark T. Lapid said.

Lapid said these projects would be of great help to improve the country’s tourism infrastructure. He assured TIEZA would work hard to achieve its goal of completing them this year.

Among the projects eyed for completion in 2021 are Phase 2 of the Boracay Water Drainage, which has a total bid cost of over P778.8 million. The project is 57.95 percent complete as of December 2020.

TIEZA is also working to complete the construction of the Sewerage and Waste Water Facility and Boardwalk in Oriental Mindoro.

Also included in the list of projects to be completed this year are the rehabilitation of Club Intramuros in Manila, which is so far 17.34 percent complete, as well as Phase 1 of the Assets Rehabilitation Plan along Victoria St. in Intramuros. The project’s scope includes architectural, plumbing, electrical and mechanical works.
