The Liberal Party will unveil its new logo, a modern redesign of the original emblem in use since the party’s founding in 1946, during its 75th founding anniversary today, Tuesday, said Liberal Party president Francis Pangilinan.

He said the logo launch will then be followed by a series of presentations from LP chapters, many of which have actively mobilized to conduct outreach and relief initiatives in their own communities.

Eighteen more new LP chapters will be awarded via a charter from Pangilinan.

The theme for the anniversary celebrations, “Liberal@75: Tuloy lang!,” is a play on the two-fold meaning of the Filipino word “tuloy”, which means both “to persist” and “to invite in”. In 2017, the LP opened membership applications to the general public, reorienting its identity as a “people’s party.” Since then, it has recruited over 10,000 members organized into more than 100 new chapters and organizing committees

The year-long celebrations will kick off with a message from Pangilinan, followed by presentations from the party’s various chapters across the nation and abroad.

There will also be messages from friends and liberal stalwarts from the Philippines and the international community.

Vice President Leni Robredo will close the day’s festivities with a message. The program will be broadcast on the Liberal Party’s official Facebook page.

The event will also broadcast anniversary greetings from allies and stalwarts in the international Liberal community, including Thailand Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party Director Chih-Cheng Lo, former Democratic Party Hong Kong Chairperson Emily Lau, Liberal International President Hakima el Haite, and Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) President Hans van Baalen.
