Two low pressure areas and the southwest monsoon caused rains over many parts of the country on Sunday.

In its early morning forecast, state weather agency PAGASA said Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the Bangsamoro region will have cloudy skies, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during times of moderate or heavy rains.

Ipo Dam conducted a spilling operation at 5 p.m. with an initial discharge of 70 cms.

Residents living along low-lying areas and those near the river bank of Angat River from Norzagaray, Angat, San Rafael, Bustos, Baliuag, Pulilan, Plaridel and Hagonoy were advised to take precautionary measures and to be alert for possible increase in water level.
