ECQ violator gets mauled in Cavite

The militant labor organization Kilusang Mayo Uno has condemned the brutal beating of a factory worker by police officers as he was arrested allegedly for violating community quarantine rules in Gen. Trias, Cavite.

Dapat managot ang mga gumawa nito!” said KMU Secretary-General Jerome Adonis in a statement.

KMU slammed the double standard on the implementation of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) rules, saying that this is not the first time police exercised brutality instead of compassion amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis.

KMU also called for the immediate investigation as to who were responsible for beating Campo, and urged authorities to file criminal charges to be filed against them.
