Pampanga receives cash grant from PCSO

City of San Fernando—The regional medical center in Pampanga is among the  beneficiaries of the P447 -million grant by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office to government hospitals as augmentation fund specifically for coronavirus cases across the country.

Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital received P10- million financial aid from the PCSO-Pampanga headed by Manager Maria Lourdes Siscar Soliman during simple rites held at the JBLMGH here.

Soliman said the financial aid would be disbursed for medical supplies essential in combatting the spread of COVID-19.

“The P10 million is part of the PCSO’s P447-million financial grant to 81 government hospitals across the country which is chargeable to the

Agency’s Charity Fund under its Calamity Assistance Program budget ,” Soliman said.

Records released by the Provincial Epidemiology Surveillance Unit revealed that a total of 15, 968 are listed persons under monitoring including 226 new cases and 11,421 completed the 14-day mandatory quarantine while 4,727 still on tight watch as of April 5.

The number of persons under investigation has ballooned to 161 cases with seven deaths.
