Angkas George Royeca has voluntarily surrendered his driver’s license which was suspended earlier by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) over a recent traffic obstruction incident in Cainta, Rizal.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) described Royeca’s gesture as a manifestation of accountability and leadership.
The LTO slapped a 90-day suspension on Royeca’s license following the Cainta incident involving Angkas riders who allegedly blocked traffic flow in the area,
Royeca, a nominee of party-list ANGKASANGGA, emphasized commitment to his team over personal interests. “As a leader aspiring for public office, I am held to a higher standard. I take full responsibility for our actions because I owe it to our riders, passengers, and the public who have supported us from day one. I would rather face suspension myself than see our riders lose their ability to provide for their families,” he said in a statement.
