Civil servants working for the local government of Baguio City are allowed to go home early and spend time with their loved ones this Valentine’s Day.
Baguio City though its Public Information Office announced late Thursday that work will be suspended by 3:00 p.m. this Friday, February 14, 2025.
The local government unit released the memo “to afford city hall employees some much needed quality time with their loved ones this Valentine’s Day.”
The order, however, does not cover employees working for departments that render frontline services for peace and order, revenue collection, disaster risk reduction and management, CCTV and emergency response operations, sanitation and health.
Filipinos normally celebrate Valentine’s Day as a cultural and secular feast, but it is not recognized as a public holiday.
