AFP conducts incident management training

The Armed Forces of the Philippines Western Mindanao Command will conduct a five-day course on incident management at the Celebrity Hall, Grand Astoria Hotel, Zamboanga City. 

The Incident Command System Position Course (Level III), which began on June 3 and will culminate today, June 7 will be handled by Capt. Edwin Ello, the Assistant Chief of Unified Command Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs of the Western Mindanao Command as one of the Subject Matter Experts.

The event is facilitated by the Zamboanga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in coordination with the Office of Civil Defense IX, the city government of Zamboanga, and the Department of Health-IX. 

Among the participants are the representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Philippine National Police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and other lead agencies.

Capt. Ello reiterated the importance of the course for effective and efficient incident management during natural and man-made disasters. He also urged the participants to share their learnings with their colleagues and families.
