AFP sustains its forces in BRP Sierra Madre

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines through its Western Command is conducting a rotation and reprovisioning of troops stationed at BRP Sierra Madre (LS57) in Ayungin Shoal today, March 5.

The RoRe mission will involve two civilian contracted vessels (Unaizah May 1 and 4) supported by Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard ships.

This action is a routine task to sustain military forces deployed in the West Philippine Sea and maintain Philippine presence in its exclusive economic zone. It also demonstrates the AFP’s commitment to ensuring that every Filipino will rightfully benefit from this resource-rich region.
