Citing testimonies by witnesses, the police have raised the possibility that missing beauty queen Catherine Camilon might have been dead.
Meanwhile, Brig. Gen, Kenneth Lucas, chief of the Region 4-A Police Office, disclosed that Maj. Alan de Castro who was linked to the disappearance of Camilon has been dismissed from the service since last Jan. 16.
“We are hoping for the best, but we are expecting the worse,” said Maj. Nilo Morallos, deputy chief of the Region 4-A Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), pertaining to Camilon’s case.

We can’t say if she’s really gone, but based on the accounts of our witnesses, it appears that she is dead,” Morallos told reporters.
The police disclosed last Nov. 8 that two witnesses have claimed they saw three men transferring Camilon to another vehicle.
“I would like to announce the dismissal of Police Major Allan Abeña De Castro effective January 16, 2024, signed by me,” Lucas said in a press press briefing.
De Castro has indicated having an affair with Camilon, but kept a tight lip mum on the her whereabouts.
De Castro and his personal driver, Jeffrey Magpantay, along with two others, have been tagged as principal suspects in Camilon’s disappearance.
Magpantay turned himself in last Jan. 9 and expressed his willingness to cooperate in the investigations.
Camilon was reportedly last seen on Oct. 12 before her family claimed she was missing five days later.
