An estimated P25 million worth of shabu was confiscated over the weekend by narcotics agents in two separate incidents in Metro Manila.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) stationed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), workers discovered three huge pouches of shabu concealed in dish traps of an abandoned kitchen in the departure area of the airport.

They immediately called a security guard who in turn informed the  Aviation Police about the discovery.

Found was 1,685 grams of shabu worth P11.4 million. The PDEA said the abandoned illegal drugs could have been in the water for  a long time.

Meanwhile,  PDEA agents and Muntinlupa City policemen stated a buy-bust operation resulting in the arrest of two suspects identified only as alias Jonny 42, and alias Lyn, 40, believed to be linked to the notorious “Coplan Sais-Strong Ice.”

During the operation, law enforcers seized two foil packs labelled “GUANYINWANG” with Chinese characters.  The packs contained about 2000 grams of shabu worth ₱13.6 million.

The PDEA said the successful operation “underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies in the relentless fight against illegal drug activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of communities in the National Capital Region.”
