Longest-running energy exhibition opens Sept. 3

Powertrends 2019, the longest-running energy exhibition in the Philippines, opens tomorrow, Sept. 3.

Organized in 1995 by Leverage International in cooperation with the Department of Energy, this year’s two-day event has for its theme “The Trends Shaping Renewable Energy.”

It features an international exhibition, a business conference, networking cocktail and technical workshops. These are unique platforms for delivering expertise, bringing theory and practice together as well as offering an amazing opportunity to network with the most important people in the energy industry.

Powertrends 2019 will officially open with a keynote address by Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi followed by a brief message from Norwegian Ambassador to Manila Bjørn Jahnsen.

The exhibition will showcase the newest technologies, systems and projects by key energy players such as Shell, SMC Global Power, Aboitiz Power, Edward Marcs, Solvera Lynx, and Meanwell Enterprises, to name a few.

The Powertech Business Forum begins with the session on opening a new path to oil and gas exploration, followed by sessions and panel discussions on Renewable Energy, LNG and Nuclear Energy, the new Philippine Electricity Market Memorandum, the Energy Efficiency and Conservation the new innovations and information technology which change the energy landscape and the gears of energy security.

Powertrends 2019 also introduces the 1st Philippine Floating Solar Forum 2019 organized by the Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance. The event will gather technology experts, project developers and practitioners, regulatory agencies, development agencies, local and foreign investors to impart knowledge, experiences and best practices on the floating solar technology and to discuss among xperts the critical formulation and changes required on the regulatory policies. This will be on Sept. 4.
