Over 195k PNP personnel get mid-year bonus

The Philippine National Police has released P6.3 billion for the mid-year bonus of its 195,561 active duty uniformed and non-uniformed personnel.

Brig. Gen. Joselito M. Vera Cruz, PNP Finance Service head, said the mid-year bonus had been credited to the individual ATM payroll accounts of PNP personnel with the Land Bank of the Philippines as of May 21, and is available for debit transactions.

Vera Cruz, however, said the release of bonus to PNP personnel with pending administrative and criminal cases was deferred.

PNP spokesperson Col. Bernard Banac emphasized that the swift release of mid-year bonus aimed to boost the morale of the 195,000-strong PNP force.

“At the same time, this is accorded to the vision of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in support to the PNP to provide their needs and will definitely be beneficial to their families,” Banac said.
