School classes cancelled in Metro Manila

School classes in Metro Manila in all levels in both public and private schools in Metro Manila are cancelled today (Friday).

Classes in some provinces in Central and Southern Luzon are also cancelled in all levels in both public and private schools.

These include Cavite, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Angeles, Bulacan and Olongapo.

Several schools in Luzon have also announced that they have no classes today.

Monsoon rains enhanced by severe tropical storm "Gorio" affect the National Capital Region and the western section of Luzon.

PAGASA forecaster Lorie dela Cruz says, it may rain at noon in some portions of Metro Manila.

She adds, this kind of weather may last until Saturday.
