LPA prevails in Samar

A low pressure area (LPA) is prevailing in a portion of Visayas.

Weather bureau PAGASA has located the weather system at 985 kilometers east northeast of Guian, Eastern Samar.

Forecasters say there is possibility that the LPA may develop into a storm.

As of this time, it has no direct effect on the weather across the country.

An inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is currently affecting Mindanao.
