DBM submits 2017 proposed budget to House

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has filed Malacañang’s proposed national budget for 2017 to the House of Representatives.

Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno submitted the proposed bill to House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and House Appropriations Committee Chairman Karlo Nograles.

The budget for next year is worth P 3.35-billion.

This is 11 percent higher than last year.

40 percent of the 2017 proposed budget is meant for ‘human resources.’

The Department of Education (DepEd) gets the highest chunk of the budget with an allocation of about P 700-billion.
