LPA enters Philippine Area of Responsibility

A Low Pressure Area (LPA) has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

PAGASA has located the LPA at 1,124 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.

Weather Forecaster Obet Badrina says currently, the LPA has no direct effect in the country's weather conditions.

He adds the possibility of the LPA developing into a storm is remote.

The LPA will be named Karina if it becomes a typhoon.
