Wonder how Ed Sheeran kept his vocals on point for his two-hour “Mathematics Tour” concert Saturday night?

He belted out some tunes in a karaoke session with his opening acts – with English singer Calum Scott and local band Ben&Ben.

“We have a portable karaoke machine. Because karaoke is very popular in the Philippines and we’re going to sing some songs,” Sheeran said in a social media post.

“Shoutout to @benandbenmusic and @calumscott for bringing the A game,” he added.

The group got their vocals warmed up in style, grooving to hits like ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” Maroon 5’s “This Love,” Sheeran’s own hit “Thinking Out Loud,” and the Filipino karaoke staple, Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.”

During the concert, the 33-year-old “Shape of You” hitmaker performed songs from his albums Plus and Multiply (2014), Divide (2017), Equals (2021) and Subtract (2023). The 26-song set list also included a song from 2019’s No. 6 Collaborations Project (“Blow”).

“I love the Philippines so much,” Sheeran told thousands of fans who flocked to the SMDC Festival Grounds, before declaring “You’re the best crowd!”

Sheeran’s last visit to the Philippines was for his sold-out 2018 Divide tour at the Mall Of Asia concert grounds.
