LTO flags Ferrari, Aston Martin owners over traffic

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has flagged the owners and drivers of two sports cars—a Ferrari Coupe and an Aston Martin Vantage Coupe—over separate viral traffic violations.

“Law enforcement is not a measure of privilege or status in life. All motorists have a responsibility to be disciplined and responsible in using the road,” LTO chief Markus Lacanilao said.

The LTO issued separate show cause orders against the owners and drivers of the two vehicles. Authorities said the Ferrari Coupe was seen using a modified plate reading “OPPA” instead of an authorized license plate.

Meanwhile, the Aston Martin Vantage Coupe was allegedly caught speeding at 200 kilometers per hour along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City. The agency ordered the registered owners and drivers to appear before the Intelligence and Investigation Division later this month.

The vehicles were placed under alarm status, while the licenses of the involved drivers were preventively suspended for 90 days pending investigation.
