CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna — Police Colonel Sandro Jay Dela Cruz Tafalla has been designated as the new acting provincial director of the Laguna Police Provincial Office following a turnover ceremony at the PRO4A Multi-Purpose Center Hall here.
Tafalla replaced Police Colonel Jonar Ramirez Yupio in a ceremony presided over by Police Brigadier General Hansel M. Marantan, acting regional director.
In his farewell message, Yupio thanked members of the police force, the Provincial Government of Laguna led by Governor Sol Aragones, and stakeholders for their support during his tenure.
In his remarks, Tafalla pledged to uphold professionalism, integrity, and strong community relations to strengthen responsive police service.
He said his leadership will align with the focused agenda of the Philippine National Police chief and the regional director’s programs.
Marantan commended Yupio for his service and contributions and expressed confidence in Tafalla’s ability to sustain and build on the gains of the Laguna police force.
He also emphasized that maintaining peace and order requires collaboration between the police and the community, highlighting the role of public trust and leadership in ensuring security across the province.
The ceremony was attended by members of the command group, regional staff, and officials of the Laguna Police Provincial Office.
