Representatives from the state of Israel, the Department of Health (DOH), and the Makati Medical Center Foundation on Tuesday launched the ISHA Women’s Health & Wellness Center at Rizal Medical Center in Pasig.
The new centralized health facility will accommodate patients through a “one-stop shop” service primarily catering to pregnancy and other wellness needs.
The project was completed in nine months, which Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Dana Krush described as akin to one’s birth.
“We are now celebrating birth, putting the focus on women and exchanging best practices with Filipino and Israeli doctors,” Krush said in a meeting with reporters.
The health center’s bed capacity currently stands at 350, while it can serve patients from other parts of the country.
It features a modern ultrasound radiofrequency room, along with a space dedicated to examining urinary activity during pregnancy. The center also extends to an emergency facility where patients in need of urgent maternal care and delivery needs can be accommodated.
“This ISHA Center is a center for women, a joint incubator for us. We are, from time to time, bringing experts in different days and forms,” Krush said, welcoming future projects with the Philippine government.
