The donation is part of the 2026 Tugon–Solar Spark Street Lights Program spearheaded by PENELCO and AboitizPower through their private limited partnerships, GNPower Mariveles Energy Center and GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co.

The program aims to promote safer roads and more sustainable communities in the province by expanding the use of renewable energy lighting systems.

Earlier, 56 units of 300-watt solar street lights were also donated to the Municipality of Morong to support similar safety and sustainability efforts. Butch Gunio
