FORMER senator Ramon Revilla Jr. has filed a petition for bail in his malversation case over the alleged P92.8-million ghost flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan,
Sandiganbayan Third Division clerk of court Dennis Pulma confirmed the filing of Revilla’s bail plea as reported by a multi media news agency (GMA Integrated News)
Revilla, who is currently detained at the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas, did not enter a plea when arraigned last Monday, prompting the anti-graft court to enter a “not guilty” plea on his behalf.
The camp of the former movie actor claimed he was denied of due process when he was not given the opportunity to respond to the updated resolution of the Office of the Ombudsman, which named him as a respondent to the cases.
The Sandigan Fourth Division also entered a not guilty plea for Revilla on a separate graft case.
