An impeachment complaint was filed before the House of Representatives on Monday against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Lawyer Andrei de Jesus filed the complaint at the Office of the House Secretary General, citing alleged culpable violation of the Constitution, graft and corruption, and betrayal of public trust as the grounds for impeachment.
The impeachment complaint was endorsed by Pusong Pinoy Party-list Rep. Jett Nisay.
Nisay, in endorsing the complaint, said public funds should instead be allocated to essential social services, particularly healthcare.
“Bilang deputy minority leader, babantayan natin itong complaint (As Deputy Minority Leader, we will watch over this complaint),” Nisay said.
