(The Embassy received a report that these individuals are using the official Embassy logo on their Whatsapp accounts to appear legitimate and solicit money in exchange for Assistance-to-nationals (ATN) services.)

The embassy emphasized that it will never ask for payment for ATN services and will not request money transfers through unofficial accounts.

It also urged the public to remain vigilant, carefully verify calls and messages, and be cautious of individuals posing as embassy employees.

In October, the Philippine Embassies in the Netherlands, Singapore, Canada, and Washington also warned about fraudulent activities involving fake email accounts used for illegal transactions, including legal services.
