The Davao–Bukidnon Road in Sitio Kipolot, Barangay Palacapao, Quezon town, Bukidnon has been reopened, easing travel between Davao and Bukidnon provinces.
The road was opened after two and a half months of repair work on a section that collapsed in October last year, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon said.
Dizon said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered round-the-clock construction to speed up the completion of the damaged portion of the highway.
He added that the DPWH coordinated closely with Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri and local government units to fast-track the project and ensure road safety.
The DPWH said additional works, including asphalting, slope protection, and drainage improvements, will continue to ensure safer and more comfortable travel.
