Walang Pasok: Class suspensions in Albay areas on Jan. 7

The Albay Provincial Information Office on Wednesday announced class suspensions in the following localities due to expected rainfall brought by the shear line.

  • Manito
  • Jovellar
  • Tiwi
  • Bacacay
  • Malilipot
  • Daraga (Effective 12 noon)
  • Camalig (Effective 12 noon)
  • Libon (Effective 12 noon)
  • Malinao (Effective 11 a.m.)
  • Ligao City (Effective 12 noon)
  • Sto Domingo (Effective 12 noon)
  • Guinobatan (Effective 12 noon)
  • Pio Duran (Effective 12 noon)
  • Legazpi City (Effective 12 noon)
  • Oas (Effective 12 noon)
  • Polangui (Effective 12 noon)
  • Rapu-Rapu (Effective 12 noon)

Aside from the inclement weather, the province is also affected by the ongoing unrest of Mayon Volcano.

Albay Governor Noel Rosal on Wednesday said more than 2,000 individuals were evacuated from their homes due to volcanic activity.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) raised Alert Level 3 (high level of volcanic unrest) over Mayon Volcano on Tuesday.
