The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) on Thursday vowed to exert all efforts to accelerate the Marcos administration’s peace process plan in 2026.
“As we step into 2026, the OPAPRU, together with the rest of the Marcos Jr. administration and our staunch peace partners, stand with renewed strength, commitment and determination to push forward the comprehensive Philippine peace process to greater heights,” OPAPRU chief Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. said in his New Year’s message.
He also extended his “deepest gratitude” to all peace stakeholders who helped and supported the peace body in all peacebuilding interventions during our remarkable peace journey last year.
“The peace dividends that we are now reaping today have been made possible through our collective efforts. It is our hope that this year will once again be filled with milestones as we continue to sustain and build on the gains of peace across our country,” Galvez stressed. Rex Espiritu
