Additional 700 CAFGU send training in Davao

The 10th Infantry (Agila) Division of the Philippine Army has produced additional 700 militias, officially called Civilian Armed Force Geographical Unit or CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs), following the completion of their basic military training, strengthening territorial defense and security operations in the Davao Region and nearby provinces.

The 10th Division Training School (10DTS) held the closing ceremony for the CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA-1) Basic Military Training at Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr. in Barangay Tuboran, Mawab. Davao De Oro on December 28.

The 45-day training covered professional competence and operational skills, including small unit operations, weapons proficiency, intelligence, tactical combat casualty care, and the Integrated Territorial Defense System. The program also included instruction on civil-military operations and mass base operations.

In addition, the trainees underwent modules on leadership, ethics, and governance, with emphasis on service orientation, respect for human rights, civil relations, values formation, and justice in support of law and order. Personal and community development activities were also conducted to prepare the auxiliaries for their role as community protectors and first responders.
