Navotas City classes canceled due to non-operational pumping stations

In-person classes in several schools in Navotas City were suspended on Wednesday amid continuous rains and rising waters in portions of the city.

These schools include:

• Bagumbayan Elementary School
• Navotas National High School
• Navotas National Science High School
• Tanza Elementary School
• Tanza National High School

“Hindi operational ang pumping stations sa M. De Vera at Sipac-Almacen kaya nagdulot ng pagbaha sa ilang mga kalsada ang tuloy-tuloy na pag-ulan, dahil dito inirekomenda ng ating Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office na walang pasok ang sumusunod na mga paaralan sa ating lungsod.” Mayor John Rey Tiangco said.
