A majority (66 percent) of Filipinos agreed that Vice President Sara Duterte must address the impeachment charges to be able to answer all allegations pertaining to the corruption charges filed against her, according to the findings of leading survey research institute Social Weather Stations (SWS).
This is based on its national Social Weather Survey of June 25 to 29, which contained a question sponsored by the Stratbase Group on whether the Vice President should address the impeachment charge.
Meanwhile, 15 percent of Filipinos are undecided and 19 percent disagree that Duterte should answer the impeachment charges.
Of the sampled locations, Metro Manila showed the highest percentage of Filipinos who agree (76 percent) the Vice President should answer the impeachment charges while Mindanao had the lowest (55 percent).
Classes ABC likewise had the higher percentage of those who agree (73 percent) and Class E had the lower percentage (62 percent).
The Second Quarter 2025 Social Weather Survey was conducted using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults nationwide: 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon (or Luzon outside Metro Manila), the Visayas, and Mindanao.
Its sampling error margins are ±3% for national percentages and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
