Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III has named Brigadier General Romeo Macapaz as the new director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
Macapaz was the Regional Director of Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), who led several operations against smuggling and illegal drug trade in the region.
