The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) renewed its partnership with the Philippine Air Force (PAF) to enhance civil-military air operations in the country.
The two agencies signed an agreement at Villamor Air Base, Pasay, reactivating the PAF-CAAP Joint Steering Committee.
CAAP will manage air traffic within the Manila Flight Information Region, while PAF will handle the detection, identification, interception, and neutralization of hostile aircraft within the Philippine Air Defense Identification Zone.
“This accomplishment is the result of our tireless efforts and unwavering dedication, proving what we can achieve when we work, not just side by side, but hand in hand, towards our common goal,” CAAP Director General Raul Del Rosario said.
The collaboration aims to uphold the integrity and safety of Philippine airspace, foster stronger coordination, and share responsibility in addressing current and emerging aviation challenges.
