Several schools announced the cancellation of onsite classes on Monday, March 24, due to a scheduled transport strike. Some institutions even extended the suspension up to March 26.
The schools that made such announcement thus far include the following:
- Adamson University
- Arellano University
- Asia Technological School of Science and Arts
- Centro Escolar Integrated School (Manila)
- Colegio de San Juan de Letran
- Far Eastern University (Manila and Makati campuses)
- La Consolacion College (Manila)
- Malayan High School of Science
- Manila Central University
- Manila Tytana Colleges
- Mapúa University (Intramuros and Makati campuses – Senior High School)
- Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
- Philippine Normal University
- Philippine Women’s University (Calamba)
- Polytechnic University of the Philippines
- Rizal Technological University
- Technological Institute of the Philippines (Manila and Quezon City)
- University of Perpetual Help System (Laguna and Las Piñas)
- University of Santo Tomas
Malolos City in Bulacan also suspended face-to-face classes for its public and private schools at all levels on Monday. Meanwhile, the schools that suspended classes from March 24 to 26, 2025 include the following:
- Cavite State University (main campus)
- De La Salle University (Manila and Laguna campuses)
- Manuel L. Quezon University
- Philippine College of Criminology
- St. Louis Anne Colleges of San Pedro Laguna, Inc.
- Trinity University of Asia
- University of the East
Transport group Manibela is organizing the three-day transport strike beginning Monday to protest the alleged inaccurate figures by the government in connection with its public transportation modernization plans.
Some student-led organizations in other affected schools have requested the cancellation of onsite classes, but have yet to formally announce their class arrangements for next week.
