President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday shared a lighthearted birthday message for his eldest son and Ilocos Norte’s first district Rep. Ferdinand Alexander ‘Sandro’ Marcos.
“The happiest of birthdays to my firstborn, Sandro,” President Marcos wrote in a message on his Instagram account.
“In keeping with tradition, you are my favorite son for the day. However, you don’t get the day off. Continue the hard work! We love you,” he added.
The President also shared a throwback photo showing two moments in time.
The lower half shows President Marcos holding a young Sandro in his arms, while the upper half transitions to the present, where the two are seen walking side by side as prominent political figures in the country.
Sandro Marcos, a lawmaker representing Ilocos Norte’s first district and a senior deputy majority leader in the House of Representatives, has been a visible figure in his father’s administration.
He was born on March 7, 1994 in Laoag City and is now 31 years old.
