Tulfo hails increased police presence in Road 10

Senator Raffy Tulfo commended the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) quick response to his recommendation for increased police presence on Road 10.

“My staff reported that there have been significant changes on the road because there are now additional police outposts made from container vans and adequate lighting in front, as well as an additional 48 PNP personnel on duty on Road 10, 24/7,” he said.

Tulfo, who chairs the Senate Committee on Public Services, earlier called for local police outposts along this notorious route that runs from Navotas to Manila.

During a Senate hearing on January 27, he highlighted the rise in crimes such as robbery and car theft due to a lack of police visibility.

He urged PNP Deputy Director for Operations, PBGen. Reynaldo Pawid, to take immediate action, giving him a five-day deadline to implement changes.

On January 31, Tulfo’s team visited Road 10 to check if the PNP had followed through on its promises.

Police have been assigned to major intersections, including Kapulong and Zaragosa Streets, while two police mobile units and motorcycle patrols are also actively monitoring the area.
