THE Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has distributed Malasakit Kits to airports in the Philippines as a token of appreciation for air travelers during the second wave of the holiday rush.

The kits, containing essential items like refreshments and hygiene kits, were given away to airports in Davao, Zamboanga, Dipolog, Pagadian, San Jose, Romblon, Bicol, Virac, Naga, Masbate, Tuguegarao, Tacloban, Calbayog, Borongan, Dumaguete, and Bohol.

CAAP personnel greeted passengers with well wishes and a pleasant trip, demonstrating their commitment to providing safe, secure, and comfortable travel.

“During this peak season of travel, we anticipated the influx of passengers so we always ensure that the CAAP is fully prepared to give our travelers the highest level of service. With Malasakit Kits, passengers enhance comfort and care while on a journey,” said CAAP director general Capt. Manuel Antonio Tamayo.

As the number of passengers continues to rise, airports operated by the CAAP remain on heightened alert, with Malasakit Help Desks on standby to provide assistance to the passengers.

Meanwhile, the CAAP reiterated its call for travelers to follow regulations to avoid delays, including rules on prohibited items, monitor belongings at all times, avoid making bomb jokes, which can result in flight disruptions and severe legal consequences.

The passengers were also advised to plan their trip ahead of time and coordinate with their respective airlines, and arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure to ensure a smoother journey during the busy holiday season.
