Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero in his Christmas and New Year message reminded Filipinos to keep their less fortunate countrymen in mind and offer help however they can.
“As we gather with our loved ones during this festive season, let us not forget our less fortunate countrymen and extend our hands to help them,” Escudero said.
“This is my prayer: food on every table, a roof over our heads, and clothes on our backs,” he added.
The Senate President likewise celebrated both Filipino resilience and God’s grace that helped the Philippines overcome the past year.
“As we reflect on the challenges we faced in 2024, including the numerous natural calamities that battered our nation, we also celebrate the resilience and unity of the Filipino people,” Escudero said.
“We give thanks to God, for it is only through His grace and mercy that we were able to overcome these challenges. Throughout it all, the resilience and deep faith of the Filipino people shone brightly,” he added.
The senator continued his message by saying Filipinos can overcome any obstacle and achieve greater heights as a nation with religious guidance.
“May the spirit of Christmas inspire us to be more compassionate, generous, and kind-hearted. Let us carry this spirit of hope and solidarity into the new year as we look forward to a brighter and more prosperous 2025,” Escudero said.
“May the coming year bring peace, joy, and blessings to every Filipino family. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!” he concluded.
