The Civil Service Commission (CSC) invites skilled professionals such as carpenters, plumbers, and electricians to apply for Skills Eligibility – Category II which qualifies them for certain government positions not requiring written tests.
Under CSC Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 11, s. 1996, as amended by MC No. 10, s. 2013, eligible individuals must have a “very satisfactory” performance rating for one year under a temporary appointment.
However, this eligibility is limited to specified roles and is not equivalent to Career Service Professional or Subprofessional eligibilities.
Applicants must submit an accomplished CS Form 101-G (Revised 2013), three identical ID photos taken within the last three months, original and photocopy of a valid ID, birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority, married certificate (if applicable), appointment paper indicating “temporary” status; certification of “Very Satisfactory” rating, statement of actual duties and responsibilities, and authenticated performance rating form.
Applications must be filed not earlier than one week before the one-year temporary appointment ends. Late submissions are allowed if the applicant retains the same position.
