MMDA releases traffic management plan for Bonifacio Day

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will implement traffic management measures in relation to the commemoration of the 161st birthday anniversary of Andres Bonifacio on November 30 (Saturday) at the Monument Circle in Caloocan City.

The following road closures will take place from 5 a.m. to 12 noon:

·         MacArthur Highway from the corner of Calle Cuatro to Monumento

·         Samson Road from the corner of Lapu-Lapu Street to Monumento

·         Rizal Avenue from the corner of 10th Avenue to Monumento

·         EDSA Northbound from Gen. Rosendo Simon to Monumento

The MMDA will coordinate with the city government to deploy traffic enforcers, members of the Road Emergency Group, and the Mobile Patrol Unit in the affected areas to manage traffic and ensure the smooth conduct of the event.

Motorists and truck drivers are advised to take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.

Light vehicles traveling from MacArthur heading to Manila were advised take the following route: turn right onto Reparo Road, then right onto Kasoy, left onto Mango Road, left onto Araneta Avenue, right onto Heroes Del 96, and left onto 10th Avenue to reach your destination.

Vehicles coming from Rizal Avenue heading to EDSA may turn right onto 10th Avenue, left onto 5th Street, and right onto EDSA. Those heading to MacArthur Highway may turn left onto 10th Avenue, right onto Heroes Del 96, right onto Samson Road, left onto Caimito Road, and left onto MacArthur to reach their destination. For those going to Sangandaan, turn left onto 10th Avenue and then right onto A. Mabini.

Vehicles traveling from EDSA to MacArthur Highway should turn right onto Gen. Rosendo Simon, left onto Calle Uno/Calle Cuatro, and then right onto MacArthur to reach their destinations. Southbound trucks are advised to use the NLEX Connector or NLEX Smart Connect to their destinations.

Trucks coming from Quirino Highway may turn left onto Mindanao Avenue Extension, then left onto NLEX. Trucks coming from Bonifacio Avenue may use the Skyway heading to NLEX.

Northbound trucks using R-10 should turn right onto C-3, then left onto the NLEX Connect On-Ramp to reach the NLEX Harbor Link exit to Valenzuela. Trucks coming from North Bay Boulevard may also use C-3, turn left onto the NLEX Connect On-Ramp, and then access the NLEX Harbor Link exit to Valenzuela.
