The Philippine Army personnel reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to promoting equality, respect, and dignity for all during the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) Kick-Off Ceremony.
Led by the Philippine Army Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido, the ceremony encouraged Army personnel to lead by example, extend their strength to the vulnerable, and stand firm against abuse and discrimination.
The Army Chief also emphasized that the organization supports a zero-tolerance policy on all forms of gender-based violence.
“As we embark on this 18-day campaign, let us remember that the fight to end violence against women is not just a responsibility; it is a duty we owe to future generations. Together, as one Philippine Army, we will march forward, ensuring that justice and equality prevail,” said the Army Chief in his remarks.
