A strong earthquake measured at magnitude-4.4 struck the town of Santa Catalina in Ilocos Sur at 4:50 AM on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Based on its latest information bulletin, Phivolcs traced the epicenter of the quake at 17.79 degrees north 119.37 degrees east – 107 km north 78 degrees west of the town at a depth of 13 kms.

There were no reported intensities listed on Phivolcs’ earthquake bulletin.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks are expected from this seismic activity and damage is unlikely.
