The 58th Infantry Battalion (Dimalulupig) welcomed LtCol. Leoncito Grezula Jr. as its new commander.
Major General Jose Maria Cuerpo II, the Commander of the 4th Infantry Division, presided over the change of command ceremony in Misamis Oriental.
This ceremony marked the official transfer of authority from the outgoing Battalion Commander, Lt. Col. Christian C. Uy, to Grezula.
Outgoing Commanding Officer Uy was recognized for his exceptional leadership and dedication during his two years at the helm of the ‘Dimalulupig’ Battalion.
Under his command, the battalion made progress in operational effectiveness and fostered a culture of excellence among its troops.
During the ceremony, Lt. Col. Uy received plaques of appreciation from various units under the Joint Task Force (JTF) Diamond, as well as tokens of gratitude from peace partner stakeholders in recognition of his invaluable contributions.
Incoming Commander Grezula pledged to uphold the proud traditions of the 58IB while implementing new initiatives aimed at enhancing operational readiness and promoting the welfare of the soldiers.
